Alycia Steinberg, Principal, has worked on a broad range of health policy initiatives in Maryland, including launching new payment reform programs designed to align hospitals and physicians; providing early support to the state of Maryland on Affordable Care Act (ACA) implementation; implementing a Medicaid-financed primary care program for adults; and redesigning delivery systems for children with special health care needs. Alycia has extensive experience in the design, administration, and evaluation of Medicaid programs and was Maryland Medicaid’s Deputy Director of Planning. 

 

Currently Alycia coordinates Maryland’s Care Redesign implementation, interfacing with the Maryland Hospital Association, hospitals, and the Health Services Cost Review Commission (HSCRC) to promote patient-centered care across the delivery system. 

 

Alycia has been a featured speaker by White House, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the House Speaker regarding the effects of the ACA on families and children. She has a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Michigan and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California San Diego.
