Lindsey Ferris (DrPH, MPH Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health) has worked in healthcare IT and health information exchange for two decades. Over the years, she has developed subject matter expertise on interoperability for health, public health, behavioral health, and social determinants of health data. Lindsey has overseen many large-scale technology implementations within Health Information Exchanges (HIEs), such as a statewide Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) and two statewide Data Lakes. These initiatives required extensive knowledge about clinical workflows, policies, and data governance to ensure successful execution of projects and services. Her current work largely focuses on advising and supporting various strategic HIE efforts, including supporting statewide public health initiatives, improving data quality, and leveraging Medicaid funding. Lindsey has worked extensively with linking person-level data across domains for treatment, public health, and research purposes.
